Under Ohio law the principal distinction between duress and coercion is between, on the one hand, physical force and, on the other, moral force. State v. Woods, 48 Ohio St.2d 127, 136, 357 N.E. 2d 1059 (1976), vacated, 438 U.S. 910, 98 S.Ct. 3133, 57 L.Ed.2d 1153 (1978). In this case, Takacs’ theory was that he acted under compulsion brought upon by physical force — i.e. he was acting under duress.
